Cross-Country League 8 (11/08/2012) - Lahee Park Pinetown
The 8th cross-country league event is scheduled to take place on Saturday the 11th of August 2012 at Lahee Park in Pinetown, and will be hosted by PDAC. This is another testing course that will test mental and physical strength. It will also be a good benchmark event for medal hopefuls preparing for the KZN champs scheduled for the 18th of August in Amanzimtoti
All athletes (registered & casual runners) are welcome to come and participate in the event. Cross-country is a sport that can be enjoyed by everyone in the family as the program caters for all age groups, whether your 8 or 80 years old! You do not have to belong to a club to take part, but you will be required to purchase a temporary license. The first race is scheduled to start at 11H50 with the 1km for the 8 years' & younger age group.
Entry fees are R10 for 13 year-olds and older. The under 12 athletes' entry fees are R5. There will be temporary licenses for sale at R10 a piece if you are not registered with a club. The cross-country commission is encouraging athletes to register with their local club in order to get a permanent license number.
